Mauldin, Tommy Allen, 51, of Big Spring, died on Monday, July 10, 2000, in a Midland hospital. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 13, 2000, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Greg Taylor, pastor of Miracle Revival Center, officiating and his uncle, Carl Herron, assisting. He was born on April 25, 1949 in Fairbanks, Alaska. Tommy moved to Big Spring as a young boy. He attended Big Spring schools and played football and ran track for the Big Spring Steers. He owned and operated Tommy's Tire Service and was currently working for Western Container. The joy of his life was his grandchildren, and he tried to spend as much time with them as possible. He was a member of Church of Christ. Survivors include his mother, Marjorie Mauldin Schulze of Sand Springs; daughter, Laura Mauldin of Lewisville; son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Melanie Mauldin of San Antonio and daughter Lisa Hamby of San Antonio; two grandchildren, Nicholas Mauldin and Dayton Bush; two sisters, Annette Coker of Sand Springs and Carolyn Bingham of Big Spring and one brother, Russell Mauldin of Wynn, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his father Travis Mauldin. Pallbearers will be Bob Purser, Rusty Purser, Travis Joe Bingham, Jim Coker, Pat McMahan and Todd Coker.
