Roberta Graham Clarke of Midland passed away December 10, 2011. She was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on February 4, 1918. She was the youngest of five children born to Robert H. Graham M.D. and Lelia Stevenson Graham. After living in Wichita Falls, Texas and Palmer Lake, Colorado, her family moved to Clayton, New Mexico where her dad opened a medical clinic. She attended the University of New Mexico graduating in 1939. She met her future husband, Robert C. Clarke, while at the university. They were married November 15, 1941. During the war she was a civil service laboratory technician at the Army Air Corp Basic Flying School at Enid, Oklahoma. Her memberships included DAR, Palmer Lake Art Group, Garden Clubs, Homemaker Clubs, and Christ Church Midland. She spent nearly thirty years with her husband in the Navy, living in many places in the United States, Saipan, and Truk Atoll. She was a homemaker all her life.Her husband Robert C. Clarke of 69 years preceded her in death on August 29, 2011. She is survived by her sons Steven G. Clarke and wife, Barbara, and their two sons, Russell (Jessica) and Scott (Ashley), and Robert S. Clarke and wife, Ann, and their two sons Christopher (Chriss) and Michael Jody (Meredith). She also had 3 great grandchildren, Jensen, Cassidy and Reese.Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, December 16, 2011 at Christ Church Midland with Fr.
