Jose Medrano, Jr., 57, of Big Spring, died on Sunday, December 16, 2001, in a Midland hospital. A vigil service will be at 7:00 PM Thursday, December 20, 2001 at the Nalley-Pickle 7 Welch Rosewood Chapel. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, December 21, 2001, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Felix Cubelo, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. He was born on March 6, 1944 in Uvalde, Texas and married Maria Dolores Chacon in Lamesa, Texas. Mr. Medrano had lived in Big Spring for the past 13 years. He had worked for Price Construction. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Dolores Medrano of Big Spring; two daughters, Maggie Medrano and Irma Medrano both of Big Spring; three brothers, Fred Medrano and Roy Medrano both of Batesville and Lupe Medrano; four sisters, Juana Medrano of Batesville, Oralia Medrano, Maria Medrano and Sara Medrano of Bryan and his mother, Mrs. Jose Medrano, Sr. The family requests donations be made to: Jose Medrano Family Fund, %Wells Fargo Bank Texas, N.A., 400 Main Street, Big Spring, Texas 79720, Account# 9697789635.
