Ethel L. Bonnington

Ethel L. Bonnington, 91, of Big Spring, died on Saturday, April 21, 2001, in Midland. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 1, 2001, at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Big Spring with The Rev. Jim Liggett, pastor, officiating. She was born on August 15, 1909 in Brooklyn, New York and married Lester Bonnington in June of 1931 in Brooklyn, New York. He preceded her in death on February 6, 1969. She and her late husband moved to Fresno, California in 1962 from Brooklyn, New York. She came to Big Spring in 1984 and had resided at Canterbury North since its opening. Mrs. Bonnington had worked for Bankers Trust in New York for a number of years. Mrs. Bonnington was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church. Survivors include one son, Rev. Robert Bonnington of Midland; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to: Hospice of Midland, 911 W. Texas, Midland, Texas 79702.
