Austin, 62, of Stanton, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, November 27, 2015 at Midland Memorial Hospital. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 4, 2015 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Midland.Mark was born on July 2, 1953 to Robert James Austin and Jerry Austin in Odessa. He graduated from Fort Stockton High School and then went on to college at the College of Sequoias, Midland College and the University of Texas at the Permian Basin. Mark served our country in the Marine Corps as a Sergeant from August 9, 1971 to August 8, 1975. He married the love of his life, Pamela Pogue on January 4, 1982. Mark worked for Pioneer Resources as an Operations Foreman until his passing. He enjoyed reading his Bible, hiking with his family, rocks and minerals, guns, knives, spending time with his dogs, horses, and most of all his grandchildren.In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO BOX 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
