William Newton Shrader went home to Jesus on June 8, 2019. The only child of Sylvan Leon Shrader and Ruth Mae (Payne) Shrader was born February 5, 1949. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Newton loved Jesus and studied his Bible faithfully. He graduated from Lee High School in 1967 and Texas Tech with a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1971 and a MBA in 1973. He married Benita Kay (Easley) Shrader on August 15, 1970 in Odessa. They were not only spouses, but best friends.Newton used both of his college degrees working as a mechanical engineer, financial analyst, and manager of a treasury department Newton had a sense of humor and quick wit which gave him the ability to keep people laughing. He loved photography and won some awards for his pictures. He was known for his trivia knowledge and liked watching TV game shows and “Me TV”.Kay and Newton loved travelling together and saw many major sites in the US, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, with Hawaii being their favorite destination.Survivors are his wife Kay; his sisters-in-law, Lana Westerfelt and Patty Bee: and his cousins.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory.,
