Will Johnson, 89, of Big Spring, died on Friday, March 29, 2002, at his residence. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, April 4, 2002, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Howard Adams, minister of Eastside Church of Christ in Midland, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. He was born on September 18, 1912 in Clarksville, Texas and married Izell Bledsoe on October 28, 1934 in Smithville, Texas and had been married for sixty-seven years. Will had been a farmer, worked at Meads Bakery and retired from the City of Big Spring after twenty years of service. He enjoyed gardening and cooking. He was a member of the Church Of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Izell Johnson of Big Spring; five sons, Ulis Johnson, Roy Johnson and Melvin Johnson all of Big Spring, Robert Johnson of Lubbock, and Fredrick Johnson of Midland; four daughters, Charles Johnson Green of Big Spring, Willene Knox of Compton, California, Jennie Johnson of Monahans and Izell White of Paducah, Kentucky; twenty-six grandchildren and fifty-one great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. The family suggests memorials to: Home Hospice, 600 S. Gregg St., Big Spring, Texas, 79720.
