Thompson, Sharon Aldridge, 50, of Big Spring, died on Thursday, February 8, 2001, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, February 12, 2001, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Dudley Mullins, pastor of East 4th Street Baptist Church, officiating. Graveside services will follow at 4:00 PM at Sweetwater Cemetery, Sweetwater, Texas. She was born on September 20, 1950 in Sweetwater, Texas. Sharon grew up and attended Big Spring schools. She received her certification as a Registared Nurse and had worked as a RN in the past. She was also a homemaker. She was a member of East 4th Street Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Chad Stricklan of Lubbock; her mother, Cleo Aldridge of Burleson; one brother, Darrell Aldridge of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one sister, Donna Kidd of Burleson; and one granddaughter. The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday evening at the funeral home. Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
