Robert G. “Bob” Goodwin, 88, of Big Spring, died Friday, November 29, 2019 at his residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, December 5, 2019 at the First Church of the Nazarene. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Monday, December 9, 2019 at the Stigler Cemetery in Stigler, Oklahoma.

He was born January 16, 1931 in Stigler, Oklahoma and married Marjorie Brazeal September 1, 1951 in Stigler, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death February 19, 2007.

Bob graduated from Oklahoma A & M in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1952. He served in the United States Army with the signal corps from 1952 until 1954, being discharged as a Corporal. He moved to Big Spring in 1969 and worked for TXU Electric, retiring as the District Customer Service and Operations Manager after 40 years of service.

He was a longtime member of the First Church of the Nazarene and Kiwanis Club.

Survivors include two sons, Robert L. Goodwin of Houston and Joe T. Goodwin and wife, Tammy of Big Spring; two granddaughters, Stephanie Findley and Shanin Goodwin; and six great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Robert W. Goodwin and Mable Ethel Sherrill Goodwin; and one brother, William S. Goodwin.

The family suggests memorials to First Church of the Nazarene, 1400 Lancaster St., Big Spring, TX 79720,

The Alzheimer’s Disease Research, 22512 Gateway Center Dr., Clarksburg, Maryland 20871, or to a favorite charity.
