Ramiro Salazar, 51, of Coahoma, died on Saturday, November 10, 2001, Hospice House of Odessa. Vigil service will be 6:30 PM Monday at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 13, 2001, at the St. Joseph's Catholic Mission in Coahoma with Rev. Jeremiah McCarthy, officiating. Interment will follow at Coahoma Cemetery. He was born on April 5, 1950 in Elsa, Texas and married Delia Padron on June 26, 1969 in Big Spring. He resided in Stockton and Los Angeles, California, and Colorado City and Big Spring before making his permanent residence in Coahoma. Throughout his life, he held positions with various companies but his true talent was that of a musician. He enjoyed cooking outdoors, Texas A&M football, fishing and most of all music. He served in the Job Corps program. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Mission in Coahoma. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Delia Salazar of Coahoma; one son, Patrick Mark Salazar of Odessa; one daughter and son-in-law, Everlyn and Jose Tovar of Austin; two grandchildren, Mandi and Antonio; his mother, Juanita Salazar of Big Spring; two brothers, Leopoldo Salazar of Big Spring and Gilberto Salazar of Snyder; and five sisters, Esperanza Munoz of Michigan, Rosa Angeles and Frances Garcia of California, Lydia Del Bosque of Big Spring and Gloria Gomez of Abilene.
