Dennis was born in Columbus, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Esther Walker of Bexley, Ohio, and his sister, Karen Baty, of Toledo, Ohio. He was the honorary uncle to many nieces and nephews throughout his life. He graduated from Bexley High School. He went to college briefly, but decided to pursue a career instead. He was a beer and wine distributor. His career was cut short due to leg and back injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash.Dennis has been retired for over 20 years, during which time he was very active politically. He was a member of the Second Amendment Foundation, Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, Gun Owners of America, and the Scioto Valley Rugby Club in Columbus, Ohio. This led him to become a certified hunter education instructor, NRA certified instructor in home firearm safety, personal protection, basic pistol marksmanship, and basic rifle marksmanship. This also opened the door for him to become a member of the Franklin County Republican Central Committee, President of the Ohio Constitutional Defense Council, and President of the People’s Rights Organization. He was also a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. Dennis was a staunch Republican and avid historian.Dennis has struggled with his health during the last year, and has been in and out of the hospital numerous times. He died on Wednesday evening, December 12 at 10:15pm due to complications from COPD. He lived his life fully, and made many friends in his assisted living facility. He is survived by many friends and family members, and will be sorely missed.His ashes will be interred at the family plot in Greenlawn Cemetery in Columbus, Ohio. There will be a memorial service in Ohio, date and time to be determined.
