Patricia Ruth Crenshaw was born October 22, 1940 to Mike and Connye Crenshaw in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She graduated from Polytechnic High School and Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, Texas. She attended Texas A & M University where she received her Master’s degree. Patricia began her career as Assistant County Extension Agent in Corsicana…working with 4H clubs and Home Demonstration Clubs throughout the county. She then became the Agent in Monahans, then Corpus Christi where she had a TV/Radio program as there County Extension Agent for 34 years reaching the surrounding communities, teaching night classes at Beeville College and assisting other educational routes with limited homemakers as well as teaching financial management to women prisonersShe met Robert Lewis along that pathway and celebrated 40 years of marriage. HE had been her treasured husband and caregiver during her battle with Alzheimer’s disease. When Pat retired she discovered her artistic talent and became an important asset to the art gallery in Corpus Christi and the Palette Club of Midland. Pat always stopped along the way to smell the roses and took many photos of her travels on her life’s pathway. Her home was an art gallery of her paintings and history of her family.Join us in celebrating Patricia’s life as she continues to feed the birds and painting pictures of her new beautiful surroundings. Pat is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Lewis who passed away on April 6, 2020, and her parents. Internment for both will be in the Crenshaw Family Plot at Laurel Land Memorial Park, Ft. Worth. She is survived by: sister, Kathleen Hall Bowman; husband, Leon; niece, Heather Hall, nephew, Heath Hall; step-daughters, Evelyn Snyder and husband William and Cari Beltran and husband Tony, step-son, Michael Lewis and wife Stacey; grandchildren, Sierra and Michael; sister-in-law, Donna Lara; uncles, cousins and many friends. Patricia and Robert’s family wish to thank the Helen Greathouse employees for assisting them in the past several years and the nursing staff of the Younger Center and special COVID unit.
