Miller, Merle L., 90, of Big Spring, died on Friday, January 12, 2001, in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, January 15, 2001, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Don Snipes, pastor of Baptist Temple Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park. She was born on August 18, 1910 in Marlow, Oklahoma and married Lester Marvin Miller on November 25, 1927 in Marlow, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on November 25, 1998. She and her late husband came to Big Spring in 1952 from Oklahoma. Mrs. Miller was a member of Baptist Temple Church where she was a cook for the day care for over 10 years. Survivors include two sons, Royce Miller of Big Spring and Jack Miller of Waterford, California; four daughters, June Emerson of Randolph, Fern Thompson and Jonetta Hesson both of Big Spring and Joyce Burchett of Coahoma; nineteen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was also preceded in death by 2 sons and 1 daughter. The family suggests memorials to Baptist Temple Church, 400 E. 11th Place, Big Spring, Texas 79720. Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch
