Mary Linda Garza

Garza, Mary Linda, 55, of Big Spring, died on Saturday, June 10, 2000, at a local hospital. Rosary will be said at 7:00 PM Sunday at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel by A. G. Martinez. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, June 12, 2000, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. James Plagens, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park. She was born on March 29, 1945 in Big Spring, Texas. She was a lifelong resident and attended Big Spring Schools. She had worked for the Big Spring State Hospital for 2 years. She was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching the Lady Hawks of Howard College. Mary Linda was a Catholic. Survivors include one sister, Concha Holguin of Big Spring; one brother, Mike Garza of Odessa; her father, Juan V. Garza of Odessa; a niece, Rose Mary Garza Rodriguez of Odessa and several aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her mother, Maria Munoz Garza and her grandmother, Juana R. Munoz. The family suggests memorials to: American Diabetes Association, Inc. Texas Affiliate, Western Regional Office, 8008 Slide Road, Lubbock, Texas 79424.
