Maria Trinidad Alarcon passed away on December 6, 2013 surrounded by her family. Her viewing will be at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home on Friday, December 13, 2013 from 8:00AM to 9:00PM. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 10:00AM.Maria was born on May 16, 1940 in Mexico to Sebastian and Maria Iniques. She grew up as an only child, but always wanted a large family. She moved to Midland for a fresh start and met the love of her life. Together they raised eleven children, Ruben, Martin, Omar, Abel David, Esther, Dora, Emma, Lyria, Lourdes, Arcelia, and Edith. Her love for her family made her into an amazing mother that always pushed her children to strive for the best and she never met a problem that couldn’t be solved. She was a caring woman who loved to help everyone and could never be brought down. She was sensitive, but strong and led a very full life. She mourned the loss of her husband at the young age of 53, and never remarried. She was a woman of passion and sensibility. She loved to sew and was an excellent seamstress,. She could make enough food to feed dozens and she thrived in the kitchen. She spent a lot of time traveling, especially to her home country of Mexico. She will be greatly missed by her large family and numerous friends.Maria is survived by her four sons, Ruben, Martin, Omar and Abel David Alarcon; her seven daughters, Esther Aguirre, Dora Albornoz, Emma Gonzales, Lyria Mendez, Lourdes Santa Ana, Arcelia Montes, and Edith Hernandez; her 40 grandchildren, Ruben, Yanin, Ydali, Martin, Celeste, Martin Jr., Ashley, Bridgette, Daisy, Kimberly, Josue, Jonathan, Carolyn, Sislee, Jimmy, Guillermo Jr., Helen, Karina, Mary Ann, Alberto, Abraham, Gaby, Marcela, Claudia, Jazmin, Amy, Jody, Danny, Roland, Amy, Raoul, Iltze, Oscar, Javier, Alex, Jacob, Steve, Damian, Ryan, Joel, and Abel; 45 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.,
