Lillie Lewis

Lillie Lewis, 99, of Big Spring, died on Tuesday, April 10, 2001, in a local nursing home. Graveside funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, April 13, 2001, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with Royce Clay, Church of Christ minister from Colorado City, officiating. Lillie was born on June 1, 1901 in Snyder, Texas and married Erda Lewis on October 5, 1919 in Ira, Texas. He preceded her in death on July 31, 1979. Mrs. Lewis came to Forsan in 1937 from Snyder and moved to Big Spring in 1960. She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother She was a member of 14th and Main Church of Christ. Survivors include one daughter, Flo Kimbrough of Big Spring, one son, Art Lewis of Ft. Worth, four grandchildren and their spouses, Paula and Dan Wash of Waco, Steve and Shauna Gordon of Kermit, Van and Barbara Lewis and Debbie Cole all of Ft. Worth, twelve great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to: 14th and Main Church of Christ, 1401 Main St., Big Spring, Texas 79720.
