Lance was born November 25, 1973, in Big Spring to Richard and Mary Martel. He was a former El Paso police officer, skilled welder, farmer, and a regular jack of all trades. He loved all things Texas Tech. Lance’s greatest joy was the sound of his children’s laughter. His wife and children were the light of his life.

Lance is survived by his wife, Mandy; 3 children, Zoe, Bristan, and Kooper, of Stanton; father, Richard Martel of Frisco; brother, Eric Martel and wife, Brooke of Prosper; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Troy and Aylene Bradshaw and William and Rejeanne Martel; and his beloved mother, Mary Martel.
