Memorial services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the Kelview Heights Chapel in Midland.She was born June 9, 1952 in Friona, Texas to Lloyd and Frances Routon, and married Kenneth Carpenter July 18, 1975 in Muleshoe, Texas.June served as the Tax Assessor Collector for Martin County for four years. She then worked for Chase Bank in Midland for 25 years and for Lone Star Bank in Midland for two years. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting and loved her family and was a proud wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.She was a member of Kelview Heights Baptist Church in Midland.Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Carpenter; one daughter, Jhana Turner and husband, Bo; three granddaughters, Kayla Politakis and husband, Daytona, Laykan Reed and husband, Brandon, and Kensley Turner; four great-grandchildren, Orion, Ella, Turner and Phoenix; and one sister, Janice Vaughn and husband, Virgil.She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; and one brother.The family suggests memorials to the American Lung Association at www.lung.org, the Multiple Sclerosis Society at www.nationalmssociety.org/Donate or to a favorite charity.Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbreath Funeral Home in Stanton.
