Iva Ilynn Atchison passed away at age 73, on Sunday, August 11, 2019, in a Midland hospital. Her friends knew her as either Lynn or “Hosslady”. No services are planned at this time. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery will be at a later date.

Iva Ilynn Atchison passed away at age 73, on Sunday, August 11, 2019, in a Midland hospital. Her friends knew her as either Lynn or “Hosslady”. No services are planned at this time. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery will be at a later date.

Lynn graduated from Sweetwater High School in 1964 in the Top Ten of her class, and has been instrumental in keeping the Class of 1964 connected since graduation. She earned a BBA degree in Accounting from Texas A&M University in 1970.

After passing the CPA exam in 1993, she opened a small tax practice in Stanton, and has been serving her clients ever since.

Lynn served as Treasurer for the Friends of Martin County Library. She served on the Board of the Senior Citizen’s Foundation, and was a past volunteer for delivering meals.

She loved the Lord and was determined to live every day to its fullest. We will miss her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlotte and Ikie Wilson of Sweetwater.

She is survived by her husband, Tommy “Hossfly” Atchison of Stanton; a stepson, Jim Atchison of Stanton; 2 aunts, Polly Boyd of Ft. Worth and Mary Lynn Aucutt of Synder; and an uncle, Lawrence Mullins of Sweetwater.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
