Ida Mae Sneed

Sneed, Ida Mae, 87, of Big Spring, died on Thursday, October 12, 2000, in a local nursing home. Graveside funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 14, 2000, at Mt. Olive Memorial Park with Rev. Dudley Mullins, pastor of East 4th Street Baptist Church, Officiating. She was born on October 14, 1912 in Cooper, Texas and married Morris Sneed on November 2, 1934 in Big Spring, Texas. He preceded her in death on May 11, 1989. Mrs. Sneed came to Big Spring as a young woman. She had worked at the Jet Drive In, Newsom's Grocery, Gray's Jewelers and Chaney's Jewelry before retiring. She was a member of East 4th Street Baptist Church. She was active in bowling leagues when she was able. Survivors include two daughters, Dolores Hitt of Big Spring and Lyn Anderson of Midland; one son, Kent Sneed of Ben Wheeler; one sister, Allie of California; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Sneed of Big Spring, Viola Solsvery of Kingsland and Ola Sandridge of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; eight grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be made to East 4th Street Baptist Church, 401 East 4th, Big Spring, Texas 79720. Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.,
