H. C. Harrington

Harrington, H. C., 93, of Big Spring, died on Thursday, November 9, 2000, in a local nursing home. Graveside funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 11, 2000, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with John Harrington, officiating. He was born on December 17, 1906 in Guion, Runnels County, Texas and married Maggie Grisham on December 23, 1931 in Green Valley, Texas. She preceded him in death on September 17, 1991. Mr. Harrington came to Howard County in 1920 with his family. He had farmed and ranched in the Luther Community for many years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Coahoma. Survivors include five daughters, Garry Faye Daughtrey of Odessa, Mary Alice Wilson of San Angelo, Rita Grace Hull of Garden City, Lydia Beth Sutphen of Clyde and Cynthia Ann Wintamute of Horizon City; one brother, George Harrington of Big Spring; one sister, Grace Miller of Anderson, Indiana; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
