*Media Obituary*Gladys Joy Loudamy, 80, of Big Spring, died on Tuesday, August 22, 2006, at a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, August 25, 2006 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Don Snipes, pastor of Baptist Temple Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.She was born on September 10, 1925, in Howard County, Texas to Melvin A. Loudamy and Gladys Irene Loudamy.Joy graduated from Big Spring High School in 1942. She had worked at Howard County Abstract, Big Spring State Hospital and Carter's Furniture, retiring in 1995. She was a member of Baptist Temple Church.Survivors include, one sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Terry Carter of Big Spring; one brother, Roy Loudamy of Mena, Arkansas; one sister-in-law, JoAnn Loudamy of Big Spring; two nieces and their husbands, Lisa and David Hobbs of Big Spring, Dacia and Steve Roen of North Richland Hills; three great nephews, Derek Wash and wife, Taryn of Big Spring, Brodie Wash and wife, Kaci of San Antonio, and Clinton Hobbs of Big Spring.She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Loy Loudamy, one sister-in-law, Myrna C.
