Effie Miears, 77, of Big Spring, died on Wednesday, March 27, 2002, in a Lubbock hospital. Graveside funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, April 1, 2002, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with Rev. Kevin Parker, pastor of Hillcrest Baptist Church, officiating. She was born on December 10, 1924 in Freemont, Arkansas. She married D. J. Miears and he preceded her in death in 1981. Effie was a longtime resident of Big Spring and a homemaker. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Gary Miears and Bob Miears both of Big Spring; a sister, Ruby Atkinson of Big Spring; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.,
