Betty Latrell Welch, 80, of Stanton, died, Thursday, May 4, 2017 at her residence. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday, May 8, 2017, at First Baptist Church in Stanton with Rev. David Harp officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Stanton.The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Gilbreath Funeral Home. She was born April 4, 1937 in Ranger, Texas and married Ben Franklin Welch June 16, 1957 in Grand Falls, Texas.Betty owned and operated Dalashanta Dress Shop in Stanton for 13 years and was very involved in the community. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for many years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.Survivors include her husband, Benny Welch of Stanton; one daughter, Carla Welch of Stanton; one son, Ron Welch and wife, Robin of San Saba; two grandchildren, Garrett Welch and John Welch; one brother, Kenneth Elrod of San Diego, California; and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, David O. and Minnie Bell Browning Elrod; and two brothers, Dale Elrod and Earl Elrod.The family suggests memorials to Home Hospice, 111 E. 7th St., Suite A, Big Spring, Texas 79720 or to Trulite Home Health, 310 St. Peter St., P.O.
