Bertha Blagrave Froman

Bertha Blagrave Froman, 88, of Ackerly, died on Saturday, October 27, 2001, in Lamesa. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, October 29, 2001, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewoood Chapel with her son, Rev. Dalton Froman, Pastor of Dayspring Christian Fellowship of McKinney, Texas, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. She was born on December 12, 1912 in Leon County, Texas and married Walter Froman on February 8, 1941 in Lamesa, Texas. Bertha's family came to the Brown community when she was a small child. She was a lifetime resident of the Brown community. She had owned and operated a beauty shop in Ackerly during the late 1930' and early 1940's. She and her husband farmed for many years before their retirement. She was a longtime member of First Assembly of God Church in Big Spring. Survivors include her husband, Walter Froman of Big Spring; two sons, Dale Froman of Ackerly and Rev. Dalton Froman of McKinney; one daughter, Gardine Froman of Richardson; one sister, Velma Blagrave of Big Spring; five grandchildren.
