Townley, Alvis, 87, of Stanton formerly of Paducah, died on Thursday, January 11, 2001, in a Stanton nursing home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 14, 2001 at First Baptist Church of Paducah with, Rev. Herman Lancaster retired Baptist minister officiating. Interment will follow at Garden Of Memories Cemetery. He was born on May 20, 1913 in Henderson County, Texas and married Faye Borland on January 2, 1932 in Paducah, Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Townley had moved to Stanton three years ago from Paducah. Mr. Townley was past president of Cottle and King County Horse and Colt Show. He was a past director of Farmers Coop Gin in Paducah and raised quarter horses including 5 World Champions. He was also a retired Deacon at First Baptist Church in Paducah where he was a member. Survivors include his wife, Faye Townley of Stanton; two sons, Cecil Townley of Stanton and Warren Townley of San Angelo; one daughter, June Seigler of Snyder; eight grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; one Sister, Earlee Pinkerton of Amarillo. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and five sisters. The family suggests memorials be made to the Paducah Cemetery Association, %Seigler Funeral Home, P.O.
