Albert Eugene “Gene” Louder, 62 of Stanton, passed on to his new life in heaven Friday, December 28, 2018 at his residence. He was a good man who will be missed dearly. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Stanton with Rev. David Harp, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday at Gilbreath Funeral Home in Stanton.

Gene was born May 26, 1956 to Tull Ray and Helen Ruth Louder in Big Spring. He was raised in Stanton, Texas and graduated from Stanton High School with the class of 1974.

He graduated from Texas Tech University in December 1977. He married Rebecca Sellars of San Angelo February 13, 1982. His family and friends were his greatest treasures. He was a wonderful Dad, Granddad and Husband.

Gene was a hard worker all his life and taught his kids to do the same. He worked in a variety of jobs and did them all well. He was still close with the White Motor family and recently retired from self employment as an oilfield pumper.

Survivors include his wife, Becca Louder of Stanton; one son, Tullie C. Louder and wife, Jayna of Haslett; two daughters, Carly J. Barnes and husband, Tyler of Oxford, Mississippi and Sarah L. Chaney and husband, James of Midland; one brother, Jim Louder of Stanton; three grandchildren, Caleb Louder, Addie Chaney and Gib Barnes; his mother-in-law, Virgie Sellars of San Angelo; and many close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Ray Louder.

The family suggests memorials to Defenders of Battaan and Corregidor Memorial Society, www.dg-adbc.org or the First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 1168, Stanton, Texas 79782.
