Matt was born in Amarillo, Texas. Most of his schooling was in Knox City, Texas before moving to Vernon where he graduated from Vernon High School in 1993. After graduation he attended and graduated from Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in 1994. Matt has worked in the funeral profession at all different levels, from apprentice in the Austin area, to funeral director in many parts of Texas from East Texas, North Texas and West Texas, before deciding to plant roots and call Midland home. Matt joined the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory family in 2016 and was promoted to Assistant Manager in 2017. He continues to grow with our company and is now the General Manager over our three funeral homes and our cemetery. Not only is he dedicated to our company he is also dedicated to this community. Matt currently resides in Greenwood and is a member of the Greenwood Volunteer Fire Department. Serving this community is a choice that Matt makes everyday either at work or volunteering.
