Vada Carlile, 86, of Colorado City, formerly of Big Spring, died Thursday, September 28, 2017 in a Colorado City nursing home. Visitation will be 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Big Spring. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, October 2, 2017 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Brother Paul Smith, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Colorado City, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring.She was born October 5, 1930 in Guion, Texas and married Elton Lee Carlile December 23, 1949 in Lubbock, Texas. He preceded her in death October 13, 2014.Vada was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed bowling in her younger years. She was a member of the Westbrook Baptist Church.Survivors include two sons, Allen Carlile and wife, Jenny of Dickinson, and Albert Carlile and wife, Gayla of Colorado City; one daughter, Darlia Shaw and husband, Cecil of Arlington; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Lou Baker and husband, Dwain of Lubbock and Kay Patterson and husband, Bill of El Paso.She was preceded in death by her parents, Bevie and Alva Gladden; six brothers and three sisters; and one grandson.The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association, 4400 N.
