On January 18, 1945 Robert Jackson and Rosie Graves had a beautiful baby girl and named her Shirley Lee Jackson, later to be known as “Mama” to many.Shirley was born in Kossee, Texas in 1945, but would later move to Big Spring in 1959 which resulted in her becoming a life time resident. She met and married J.D. Parker, who preceded her in death in June 21, 2012.She was a supervisor of environmental service at the Big Spring State Hospital where she stayed employed for forty-one years and then had the privilege of retiring. She really enjoyed playing and winning at bingo. We really feel as though she left us to go play in a bingo tournament that the Lord was having. She also enjoyed going fishing when the opportunity presented itself. She would be on a fishing tank with her fishing pole and her smile and when she wasn’t doing that she would sneak away and not let anyone know where she was. This time we know where and what tournament and fishing hole she is attending.Shirley leaves to celebrate her life three sons, Pernell Parker, Sr. of Abilene, Sidney Parker, Sr. of Big Spring and Michael Parker (Patricia) of Big Spring; one daughter, Tracy Parker; three sisters, Igentry Bradley of Midland, Georgia Jones of Midland, and Ruth Knecht of Dallas; one brother, Robert Jackson of Winnipeg, Ontario, Canada, seven grandkids, five great grandkids, along with a host of special nieces and nephews that she loved. Those that she went to catch up with at that fishing hole or sit down at the bingo table include her sister, Maebell Johnson; her parents, Robert and Rosie Jackson, and her brothers, John Mitchell, Lorenzo Jackson, Sr. and Chuck “Charles” Moore. ,
