Norma Perkins died Tuesday, September 12, 2018 at the age of 94. Graveside services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Mt. Olive Memorial Park with Rev. Billy Guy officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, September 14, 2018 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.

She was born December 13, 1923 in Agra, Oklahoma to Lewis and Gladys Brock. She married Noah Perkins January 14, 1942 in Pawnee, Oklahoma. Norma was a loving wife, mother and homemaker, and has resided in Big Spring since 1952.

She volunteered with Big Spring RSVP for 21 years, and especially enjoyed delivering lunches to the homebound on the North side of town. She felt blessed to be called by some as “Little Miss Sunshine”; that phrase described her life very well. She was a member of East Fourth Street Baptist Church from 1952 until they recently closed, and currently attended Big Spring Full Gospel Fellowship Church. Through her years she had occasion to teach Sunday school and VBS, and lived a life of strong faith in our God and Savior.

Norma is survived by her three sons, Elton Perkins and wife, Hanne, William Perkins, and Dwight Perkins and wife, Debbie; seven grandchildren, Dani Willett and husband, Rick, Suzy Keller and husband, John, Jayden Perkins and wife, Sandra, Angelina Oncken, Emily Malone and husband, Matthew, Claire Watson and husband, Jim, and Audrey Bellomo and husband, Tony; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Danna Walker and husband, Jim; a brother, Leon Brock and wife, Marti; brothers-in-law, Charles Anderson and wife, Judy and Jesse Ray Perkins and wife, Betty; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four sisters; and two brothers.

Norma was richly favored throughout her life with wonderful health, family and faith. Welcome home, Norma.
