Marilyn J. Craig, 90, of Midland, passed away on July 15th in Odessa, Texas. Marilyn was born on March 10, 1928 to Jerry Johnigan and Nell Pearson Johnigan in Galveston, Texas. She was the oldest of three siblings. She graduated from Canyon High School in Canyon, Texas. She attended West Texas State University, and graduated from North Texas State University in Denton, Texas with a degree in Secretarial Science. She married Gordon Craig in May of 1957. They enjoyed 46 years together before his passing in 2004. Marilyn held several secretarial positions prior to marrying and then after her daughters were in school, took a part-time job at the Post Office. This led to a 20+ year career with the Post Office as a Personnel Assistant.Marilyn loved her family and friends unless they interrupted a Cowboy game. She was an active member of Memorial Christian Church in Midland, then First Christian, and Connection Christian in Odessa.Marilyn is survived by her sister, Anita Johnigan Morris (Bobby); and her two daughters, Sandra Soria (Ann Love) and Susan Paddack (Bryan Paddack); one granddaughter, Molly Paddack, and several nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Craig.A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home with the Rev. Drs. Dawn & Joe Weaks officiating.
