Laynette Aylesworth, 81, of Midland, Texas passed away peacefully in her home, on November 9, 2018. She was a loving mother of 3 sons, a devoted wife and faithful servant to the Lord. Laynette was the youngest of 10 children of Henry Clint Oswalt and Mary Drusilla Davis, born in Lamesa, Texas on July 31, 1937.Laynette is survived by her loving husband, Tom Aylesworth, her oldest son, Michael Payne (Ft Worth), her youngest son, Kevin Stone (Los Angeles), her cherished grand-son, Holden Stone (Maui, Hi) and her 3 step-children: John Aylesworth, Jamie West and Jolee Aylesworth. She also has many loving nieces and nephews in Texas and Oklahoma.She is preceded in death by her parents, all of her siblings and her middle son, Blake Stone.Laynette worked at Saxon Oil many years before working with her husband at Remuda Operating Company. She also volunteered at the Prime Time Christian Broadcasting Network. She was a devout Christian and enjoyed nothing more than introducing others to a faith-based life. Her favorites hobbies were decorating and fashion.The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all that loved, supported and cared for her over the course of her illness, which includes: Teresa Michel (niece), Rev. Donnie Rollie, Norma Hernandez, Dorothy McCaulley, Josie Aranda, and countless others. Additionally, Mandy Richardson of Hospice of Midland was significantly responsible for ensuring that the last 6 months of Laynette’s life was peacefully spent in the comfort of her home with her husband, to which we are eternally grateful.The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, November 16, 2018, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory, 3800 N. Big Spring Street, Midland, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at Resthaven Memorial Park, Midland, Texas.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, http://www.ifcj.org.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
