Hannah Leigh Thompson, 24, of Midland, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 26, 2018 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Midland. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 1:00PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel with burial to follow at Resthaven Cemetery.Hannah was born on January 18, 1994 in Phoenix, AZ to Glen and Teresa Thompson. Hannah graduated from Midland Christian School in 2012. Hannah was TAPPS State discus champion two years and State medalists the other two years in high school. Hannah received her Associate of Science Degree with a 4.0 GPA from Midland College in 2014. In 2015, Hannah was accepted into Texas Tech University Health Science Center School of Pharmacy. Hannah was in the last year of her PharmD Program where she was a member of Kappi Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity.Hannah loved her family, huskies, and friends. She loved to go to movies, hiking, and recently taking spontaneous trips to see the BTS band. Hannah loved to scrapbook and paint pictures. She loved surprising her family by showing up when no one was expecting her. Hannah loved watching Anime with Matthew and sneaking food into movies with Quinn. Girls night out with her mom and grandmother was prime time that included fast food, movies, blow pops, and late nights. Hannah loved sleep overs and hanging out with her cousins especially during the holidays.Independent, vibrant, and determined describe Hannah’s personality her entire life. Once she set her mind to a task, she was relentless in her pursuit. She was a beautiful and funny young woman with an amazing smile. All who knew and loved Hannah recognized what a bright light she was in this world. Hannah had faith in Jesus and chose him as her savior. When not away at school, Hannah worshipped with her church family at Main Street Church of Christ in Midland.She is survived by her parents, Glen and Teresa Thompson of Midland; brothers, Matthew and Quinn Thompson of Midland; grandmothers, Lanell Simmons of Midland and Janis Thompson of Garland, Uncles and Aunts, David and Sheryl Simmons of Belton, Tim and Renae Vannaman of Newark, Randy and Selene Simmons of Katy; Uncles, Greg Thompson of Midland and Will Thompson of Garland. Hannah is also survived by her cousins, Jake Simmons, Ryan Simmons, Sarah Simmons, Thomas Vannaman, Alyssa and Ryan Welford, Olga and Ethan Ball, Josh Vannaman, Laura Vannaman, Gwen Vannaman, Savanna Simmons, Bobby Simmons, Sydney Simmons, Kyle and Sharon Thompson, and Sara and Danny Eickenhorst.She is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Paul Simmons of Midland, and Mort Thompson of Garland.Pallbearers will be Quinn Thompson, Jake Simmons, Ryan Simmons, Bobby Simmons, Thomas Vannaman, and Sammy Gonzalez.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
