Corinne Naumann passed away peacefully at her home in Midland, Texas on March 27, 2015 with her loving family by her side.She was born September 21, 1920 in Burkeville, Texas to Dick and Lilyan Sadler. Connie was raised in east Texas and graduated from Tyler High School, Tyler Junior College and attended college in Denton at Texas State College for Women, transferring to The University of Texas in Austin. After college, she worked for the Security Intelligence Corp in San Antonio and Dallas before transferring to G-5 Intelligence at Fort Shafter, Honolulu, Hawaii. Upon returning to the states, she met and married Henry Jack Naumann on March 18, 1950. They lived in Tyler, Nacogdoches, Los Angeles, New Orleans and Houston before being transferred to Midland by Humble Oil and Refining Company (Exxon).She was preceded in death by her parents, four siblings, a daughter Nancy Merchant and Connie’s husband, H. Jack Naumann.She is survived by her daughter Diane Ellis and husband, Jody Ellis; her son, H. Jack Naumann, Jr and wife, Melinda; four grandchildren, Laura Ellis, Courtney Ellis, Krista Naumann Sheffield, Joshua Naumann; two great grandchildren Beckett Sheffield and Violet Sheffield; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.Her kindness, loving nature wonderful and wonderful sense humor brought so much enrichment to her family. Her passing will leave an eternal void, but her memory will continue to live on in each and every one of her family members.Connie was very active in numerous organizations over the years, often serving in leadership roles of the Lt. William Brewer Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution; Daughters of the Republic of Texas; Permian Basin Landwives; Petroleum Club Wives; Petroleum Museum and En Amie. She and her husband were long time members of the First Presbyterian Church of Midland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Petroleum Museum of Midland or the First Presbyterian Church of Midland.The family would like to thank her many special caretakers, but most especially Darlene Wilson and Rosa Rodriguez, for their love and care.Memorial services will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Midland, Texas, at 3:00 pm on Monday, March 30, 2015. Graveside services will be held at Oakhill Cemetery in Smithville, Texas on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 2:00 pm.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
