- Vivian Corinne Grantham, 82, of Big Spring, passed away March 10, 2010, after fighting a valiant battle with cancer. A service of remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 15, 2010, officiated by Dr. Ken McIntosh, pastor of First Chrtistian Church, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
A visitation for family and friends will be Sunday from 4:00 to 5:00 pm at the funeral home.
Vivian was born March 24, 1927 in Paradise, Texas to W.H "Bill" and Della Norwood. She moved to Big Spring in 1947 to go to Howard County Jr. College and married Lewes Gilbert "Shorty" Grantham on April 14, 1949. He preceded her in death October 13, 2003 after sharing 54 wonderful years together. She was currently employed by First Christian Church as their nursery attendant.
She is survived by a daughter, Corky Burcham and husband, Butch and grandchildren, Michael Burcham and Ashlee Burcham; a son, Bubba Grantham and grandchildren, Charity Lamar and B. J. Grantham as well as step-grandchildren, Debbie Conaway, Christy Isbell, Nick Denton, Amanda Denton and a great grandson, Todd Lamar; four great-great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Nell Thames, Myrt and Doc Tindol, James and Margi Norwood, Mattie Norwood, Mary and John Palmer, and Bud and Sandy Norwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Neal Tindol, Tony Goeke, Gary Prater, Jerry Dunne, Bob Priebe, Kerry Norwood, and Jeren Dunne. Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron Combs, Hayden Tubb, Mario Moncada and Julian Moncada.
The family will be at 704 Hillside Drive.
