- Maria S. Wilson, 71, of Big Spring, died on Friday, February 19, 2010, in a local hospital. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, February 22, 2010 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Father Ariel Lagunilla, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
A Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM, Sunday, February 21, 2010, at the Nalley-Pickle and Welch Rosewood Chapel.
Maria was born on October 22, 1938, in Eagle Pass, Texas and married Elmer L. Wilson who preceded her in death in 1978.
She was a longtime resident of Big Spring and had worked at Wal-Mart for a number of years.
Survivors include two daughters, Rose Marie Guthrie of Big Spring and Patricia Sue Smith and husband, Mark of Coahoma; one son, Elmer Lee Wilson IV of Lubbock; one sister, Hortencia Carter of Del Valley, Texas; eight grandchildren, Charles Michael Wilson and wife, Nicole, Sara Jane Booth and husband, Nathan, Jessica Marie Wilson, Jordan Marie Wilson, Bryan Heath Pearson and wife, Nikki, Robert Richard "Booger" Pearson and wife, Ashley, LeAnne Smith, Ashley Smith; and 12 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Marie was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Elmer Lee Wilson III.
