- H. L. Eason, Jr., 61, of Big Spring, died on Saturday, February 13, 2010, in a local hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, February 15, 2010 at the Coahoma Cemetery with Rev. Walter McCall, officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
He was born on March 21, 1948, in Big Spring, Texas to Hershel Eason, Sr. and Claudia (Rowe).
H. L. was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved cooking and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Gardner of Big Spring; one son, Shawn Eason and wife, Mara of Plano; one daughter, Summer Martin and husband, Gary of Big Spring; four sisters, Doris Jean Stephens and husband, Lonnie of Houston, Barbara Stone and husband, Ricky of Big Spring, Patsy Peterson and husband, Kim of Mesquite, and Carolyn DuPriest and husband, Milton of Tyler; and eleven grandchildren.
Mr. Eason was preceded in death by his parents; mother, Estelle Suttles; two nieces and one great niece.
